William "Bill" R.White,87 of Olyphant, passed away pecefully at Hospice of the Sacred Heart on Saturday June 4, 2022.  Born June 23, 1934, in Throop he was the son of the late Joseph White Sr. and Pearl Buddle White.  He graduated from Throop High School in 1952.  After graduation he started to work at Prudential Insurance Co. in Scranton and then transferred to Prudential in Millville, NJ in 1962.  He retired in 1997 and moved back to PA shortly after that.

An avid sports fan Bill enjoyed watching football,basketball,baseball and golf.  He loved to spend time with his good friend Al Guari.

Bill is survived by his two sons William J. White and wife Kay of NJ, Thomas J.White and wife Maria of NJ, 8 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren,7 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, his sister Alice White, NJ. Step-children Karen Bazzarri (Mark), Scranton, Vince Tiberi (JoAnn),FL. Lisa Dommes (Jim) Scranton, Amy Black (Bill) Scranton, and two nieces JoAnne Hollister (Brad) Jefferson Twp, and Judy Diehl (Leonard) Jefferson Twp. and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy White,his son Gary White,grandaughter Tiffany White and his two brothers Joseph White Jr and Thomas J. White.
