Robert V. Reardon, age 93 of Throop,PA, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.  He was born on June 22, 1932 in Paterson, NJ to Robert Francis and Peggy Reardon.  Bob attended Eastside High School prior to enlisting in the U.S Navy and serving our country during the Korean War.  Always willing to lend a hand, Bob started serving his community as a child sweeping floors in the Boxing Gym and Bar below his family's apartment.  After the Navy, he worked on powerlines, and traded the danger of heights to become a Paterson Beat Cop.  Thankful of Landing a safer employment as an Insurance Agent for Hanson, Ryan and Zester Insurance, he committed to building a family and remained their employee for about 45 years.

Bob was a gentle kind and generous soul who loved a challenge, any sporting event, and was very athletic himself.  He grew up learning to box, played semi-pro football, enjoyed skiing and racquetball, and always supported his children in their sports and interests.  While skiing in Canada with friends, he met the love of his life Sally A. Ryan, of Syracuse, NY, and they married six months later and started their family in West Milford, NJ.

Bob loved carpentry work, sharing jokes with friends, being outdoors in the yard or on the golf course, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather!  Bob and Sally moved to Sparta, NJ in 1977 and renovated their house.  Sadly they lost their home to a fire in 2019 and moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to family.  Bob is survived by his wife, Sally A. Reardon of Throop, PA, his children R. Patrick Reardon, of Seattle, WA and Shannon (Mark) Pallis of Clarks Summit, PA, his grandchildren, Taylor Pallis of Austin, TX., Evan Pallis of Clarks Summit,PA. and Braghan Pallis of Clarks Summit,PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Margaret and Elizabeth Reardon and first child, Jennifer Reardon.

The family gives sincere thanks to the Gino Merli Veterans Center in Scranton for their care of Bob Reardon.

According to his wishes, dignifed cremation rights have been accorded to the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc.Throop,PA.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday January 19, 2026 a Saint Carlo Acutis Parish, at St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca Street, Throop,PA   Visitation with family will be held from 10:00 a.m.to time of mass at the church.
