Obituary

Richard E. Kallay , formerly of Throop, PA, passed away on February 14, 2022 at Raritan Bay Hospital, New Jersey.

He would have been 88 on February 17.

He was the husband of Ruth C. Kallay, Milltown, NJ  and the son of the late Mayor Edmund G. and Rose Modos Kallay of Throop.

He lived in Milltown , New Jersey for 54 years before his passing.

Richard was a Chemical Engineer, who graduated from NYU. His first job was at DuPont, Wilmington, DE ,followed by Beryllium, Hazelton,PA, Department Head at Bristol Myers Squibb and later Cell Products in NJ.

He was past President of the Milltown Senior Club and enjoyed bowling ,NASCAR Racing and Western Square Dancing.

Richard was kind, generous, thoughtful, family-oriented, and proud of his Hungarian ancestry.

He is predecased by his sister, Rosalie  A. (Kallay) Kalinoski, and a brother Edmund J. (Butch) Kallay, both of Throop, PA.

Surviving are his loving wife Ruth C. Kallay ,Milltown, NJ;  daughter BrendaLee C. Loniewski, Brielle,NJ ; son William J. Garthe, Dayton NJ;

Sister Kathleen  A. (Kallay) Ruby, Jefferson Township, and brother- in- law Felix Kalinoski , Throop. PA.

Three grandsons; David Jr., and wife Andrea and their children David III, Nicholas ,Andrew  and  Christopher,  Gregory and Cindy and their son Maxwell; Bryan and Dawn and their children, Camryn, Jayce, Mya, Nevya, Traxyn, Zylas and Dazby; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
