Mrs. Nora Nemirovich, age 99, of Throop passed away Wednesday March 13, 2024 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore, after a short illness.

She was born May 28, 1924 in Throop,PA , daughter of the late Carmen and Isabella Giaratello Longo.

She was preceded in death and now reunited with the love of her life, George, her husband of 58 years.

Although she was not even five feet tall, her presence filled up the room and will be missed dearly by all the lives she touched,

She was the youngest and last surviving sibling.  She was preceded in death by six brothers, Sam Longo, Salvatore Longo and wife Theresa and Mary, Michael Longo and wife Mary, Frank Longo and wife Sadie, Anthony Longo and wife Anna, and Angelo and wife Pauline. And two sisters who she shared a special bond with, Josephine Longo Mecca and husband Jim and Phyllis Longo Coviello and husband Peter.

She is survived by a son, George and late wife Ceil, and a granddaughter, Niki Gray and husband Billy.  She has four great grandchildren, Domini Eaches and husband Marcus, Robert Bartoli and wife Olivia, Anthony Bartoli and wife Alyssa, and Benjamin Bartoli.  She has six great great grand children, Ernest Eaches, Lilyann Eaches, Abigail Eaches, Emma Bartoli, Anthony Bartoli and Alice Bartoli.  She has a God Child, Ann Marie Burns. And several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

We would like to extend a special thanks to her family physician DR. McCall, GCMC 6th floor and ancillary staff, and especially the staff of the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their exceptional care of our sweet girl.

Friends may call Monday, March 18 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc. 445 Sanderson St, Throop. A blessing service will be held Tuesday March 19 at 10 A.,M. at the funeral home.  Interment  St. John's Cemetery, Throop,PA
