Nancy Castellani, 86, of Scranton, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025

Born in 1938 and raised in Throop, Pennsylvania, Nancy dedicated her life to serving others, both as a nurse and as a devout member of the Lutheran church.  Her career in nursing was marked by an unwavering commitment to caring for the elderly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. John Castellani, a Lutheran minister, who passed away in 2014; and her son John Castellani, in 2015.

Nancy is survived by her sons Warren Castellani and Brian Castellani, daughter-in-law Margaret, her granddaughter Ruby Castellani and Jay Pearson , partner of her late son, John.

A woman of deep faith, Nancy served as pianist and organist in the church for many years, bringing comfort and joy to others through her music.  The church was central to her life, as was her love of music, reading and talking to people.

As Nancy was a nurse, the family extends special thanks to Riverton Rehabilitation Center (Allentown, PA) for their extraordinary care of their mom,

The viewing and funeral service will be held Tuesday May 13,2025  at St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 701 W. Lackawanna Ave, Olyphant, PA 18447

Viewing 11:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M.,Funeral Service: 12:30 P.M.

Interment will take place in Dunmore Cemetery, 400 Church St. Dunmore, PA 18512 ,Immediately after Funeral Service,
