Mary Frances Kaub, 97, of Throop, passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at the Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton,PA. Born on September 17, 1926, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Anna Twardowski.  Mary was the last living of her 12 siblings.

Mary worked at The Silk Mill in Scranton and the Capitol Records until they closed.  Mary met her husband William Edward Kaub Sr., at Capitol Records.  After Capitol Records closed, Mary found work at RCA until she retired.

After she retired, Mary enjoyed watching her grandchildren and absolutely spoiled them.  She spent hours on the steps keeping score of the "baskets" the grandkids made with a beachball.  She proudly hung art work in the laundry room and spoiled them with trips to McDonalds, Wendy's and Burger King.  Mary also loved to go to the cabins at Promised Land State Park with her family.  She lovingly cleaned the cabin of all spiders, dust and debris to make sure all was ready for the family to arrive.  Mary was always a hard worker.

Mary's husband, William Kaub Sr., to whom she was married 71 years, passed away on October 5, 2018 at the age of 101,  She loved going to McDonalds with her husband Bill where she took her "break" everyday.  Mary worked hard at all she did.

The family Mary leaves behind includes her son William Kaub Jr, Dickson city; her daughter Gloria Murcko and her husband Marc, Throop; her grandchildren Jennifer Shiner and husband Daniel; Brad Kaub, Eric Kaub and his wife Melissa; Stephanie Uhranowsky and her husband Scott; Melissa Santore; her great-grandchildren Jackson Kaub, Veronica Shiner and Tyler Santore.  She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Scranton's Gino Merli Veterans Center for the loving care provided to Mary.

Services will be held Thursday October 3, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
