Mary Bergeski, 95, long time resident of Throop, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2023 at Allied Skilled Nursing Facility with family by her side.  Mary was affectionately called Maime by those who knew and loved her.  Maime worked all her life in the garment industry as a seamstress, taking on many sewing projects for family including many family wedding parties.  Maime enjoyed her free time cooking and baking, and was famous for her pierogis.  She also loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Bergeski Bell and is survived by her son David and wife, Liz, of Throop.  She is also survived and lovingly remembered, by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandson, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Allied Services for al the loving care Maime received as a resident there for the last several years of her life,

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 8 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
