March 24, 1940 – September 30, 2022
Marie A. Adams,82, of Allentown, NJ died peacefully Friday September 30 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Stephen G and Mary Chopko Filarsky. Marie was born in Throop, PA and graduated from Throop High School. She relocated to Trenton, NJ where she worked for NJ Bell Telephone Company until her retirement. She was a member of St.John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.
Marie loved reading especially romance novels and spending time with her nieces and nephews, celebrating holidays and birthdays or just hanging out at the shore. She was proud of her volunteer work with HG McCully Chapter 81 Telephone Pioneers, Bell Atlantic Mercer County blood bank where she was a former secretary and White Horse Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxilliary as well as an avid member of the IBEW Local 827. After retiring from the telephone company, Marie worked part time where she was introduced to her partner, John Murr. They loved to travel in their camper especially to Florida during the winter, along with their faithful canine companion, Toby and later Mitzi.
Marie leaves behind her beloved partner John Murr, and her second family, John's daughter Kathy Murr, his granddaughter, Katie Pisciotti and Wife Mary and grandson Daniel Martinez and wife Patti and their grandchildren Emma and Jack, as well as her niece Jane Filarsky, nephew Stephen Filarsky,Jr. and wife Theresa, niece Susan Lawrence and husband Michael; great nephews, Michael Lawrence Jr and wife Brigid, and Jonathan Lawrence and partner Aubrey Redd. She was preceded in death by her brother Stephen M. Filarsky

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday October 7 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Yardville-Allentown,NJ
