Marian M. Barbolish, a lifelong resident of Throop passed away peacefully, Thursday January 25, 2024 at St. Mary's Villa Skilled facility.  She was the widow of Edward P. Barbolish who died in 2001.

Born in Throop, Marian was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Baransky Martin.  She was the second youngest of 10 children.  Marian was a devoted Catholic and a member of her church societies, happily participating in all church events.  Marian also enjoyed her meetings and events with the Throop Senior Citizens group playing cards every week.  An excellent baker, her fares were the first to go at Senior Group parties and bake sales.  Marian was a graduate of Throop High School and Business school.  Before retirement Marian worked for Harper Collins.

Marian is survived by her sons, Richard and wife Pia and Timm and wife Leighann and two grandsons Tim Jr. and wife Rachel and Kevin.

One of 10 children she was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

The family wishes to thank the kind and compassionate caregivers and staff of St. Mary's Villa Assisted Living facility and the Skilled Nursing facility for all that they did for Marian and her family during her stay there.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marian's memory to St. Mary's Villa Assisted Living or St. Mary's Villa Skilled nursing facilities.
