Madelyn "Cookie" D. Puhalla,78,formerly of Throop,passed away peacefully at home.

She was born in Throop on October 19,1943,daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Mazzucca Puhalla.

Aunt Cook,as she was known by her family,was an avid reader,liked crossword puzzles, and led a simple life by self-lessly caring for and helping others.

She retired to McDade Apts. in Olyphant. She made it her mission to tend to the flowers on the grounds and to provide help to the elderly residents.

She wishes to thank Staff and Residents for making her retirement years peaceful and enjoyable.

Madelyn was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Puhalla,Jr and wife Ann

her sister Gloria Puhalla Meta who is survived by her husband Joseph Meta.

Madelyn is also survived by a sister Ann Marie Puhalla Kalinoski and husband Vince of Factoryville. A brother Paul Puhlla Scranton, and his deceased wife Vaughan.

A brother Peter Puhalla and wife Diane of Dickson City.

17 nieces and nephews as well as many great-nieces and nephews.
