Ferrone
August 25, 1941 – March 22, 2025
Larry Ferrone, 83, of Peckville, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2025, while on vacation in Florida. Born in Throop, PA., he was the son of Ralph Ferrone and Yolanda Mazzatta. Larry was a loving father, and a loving companion and friend to Barbara Menichetti for over twenty-two years. He was known for his compassionate nature, and witty sense of humor.
He was a proud grandfather to Robert Jackson, Sara Burns, Gina Badalamente, Christina Szymczyk, Emily Paciga, Adam Jackson and Maggie Paciga and a great-grandfather to Adelyn Mae Burns. He was a 1961 graduate of Throop High School. He was an Avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed parties, doing projects around the house and spending time with his family and friends.
Larry began his career in photography working for Prestwood Studio in Scranton PA. After leaving Prestwood's he began his own successful business, "Ferrone Photography", he did this for the next thirty-five years. He worked for Gertrude Hawk Chocolate for 10 years before retiring. He was a kind and gentle loving man; he will be missed by everyone who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ralph Ferrone. He is survived by his children Wendy Ann (David) Szymczyk; Laurette (John) Paciga and Noelle Marie (Roy) Jackson; Companion Barbara Menichetti; Sister-in-law Judy Ferrone; Aunt Jeanne Davis; and many nieces; nephews and cousins.
Arrangements will be private and are entrusted to the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc., 445 Sanderson St. Throop PA
