Joseph John Scesney 66, of Throop, PA, passed away on Sunday April 6.  Born in Jersey City, NJ, Joseph was the son of the Late John and Theresa Zelazny Scesney and beloved brother of the Late Vincent Scesney.  Joseph was a graduate of Emerson High School in Union City, NJ. He was employed by Superior Distributors in Elmwood Park, NJ for 38 years.

Joseph enjoyed a special friendship with Stephen and Karen Badyrka and their son Nick.  Joseph was very close to his Uncle Tony Zelazny and his cousins Frances and Kenneth Kisty who maintained care for him during his final year.  Over the years Joseph has enjoyed the company of his many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Joseph often spoke about his trip to Nebraska where he spent time with his Uncle Frank Zelazny.

As an avid sports fan the New York Jets were always high on his list.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 12,2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 215 Rebecca St. Throop, PA

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc. 445 Sanderson St. Throop,PA

Interment will follow after mass at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Dickson City ,PA
