Joseph T. Kime,70 years old of Dunmore died Wednesday April 27 at Sacred Heart Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Hebert and Mary Alice Kime. Joseph was born in Dunmore and attended Dunmore High School.  He was an Army Reservist, a member of the Elite Social Club and a great player of many pool leagues.  He was an avid New York Giants fan, just like his father.

Prior to his retirement Mr. Kime worked at Topps Roofing and Siding, Roadway Express and Linder Brothers.  Joe enjoyed spending time and taking care of his family.  He especially loved being with his grandsons, Frankie and Nico, and he was always cheering them on at every game.  "Cuckoo" was always the life of the party.  You would find him gathering with many friends at the Roosevelt and VFW laughing,joking and playing pranks on his buddies.  At his residence, Robert Dougherty High Rise they called him "the maintenance man" because he always lent a helping hand.  Joe became a friend to whomever he met.  He truly was "One of a Kime".

Surviving is his son Joseph Kime Jr., daughters Christine Ruggiero and Kelly Kime of Dunmore.  Brothers Gerald "Herb" and wife Lettie Kime, Eugene and wife Sandie Kime, Timothy and wife Stacey Kime, . sister Marilyn and husband Gerald Graff. Grandaughter Sara Conway, grandsons Frank and Nico Ruggiero and Great Grandsons David and James Peterson. Also surviving former wife Teresa Kime Buselli and many nieces and nephews.
