John J. Paczkowski, 76, died unexpectedly on Sunday May 28.  He is survived by his wife the former Elaine Arvay.  The couple celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 5.

Born in Derby, CT, son of the late Adam and Pearl Butka Paczkowski, John was a graduate of Dunmore High School class of 1965.  Prior to retirement he was employed at Haddon Craftsman, Art Print and Scranton Printing,  John had also been a member of the Army Reserves.

John was a loving and devoted husband , brother uncle and friend.  He was a loyal New York Yankees fan and enjoyed traveling especially cruises. Also surviving are a brother David Paczkowski, Douglassville, Pa, a nephew David Paczkowski, San Francisco, CA, a sister-in-law Carol (Dennis) Pocius, Marietta,GA,  a brother-in-law Gary (Anna) Arvay, Clarks Summit, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be Monday June 5 with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca St. Throop.  John's family will receive relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until the time of mass.
