Joan Maros, 86, died peacefully at home Sunday evening.  She was the wife of the late Francis "Frank"Maros, who passed away April 21, 2010.  They had been married 51 years.  Born September 21, 1936 in Throop, Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Lahotsky Pisarcik and she was a 1953 graduate of Throop High School.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, Throop and was a resident of Olyphant for 47 years.

Joan enjoyed traveling the world with her late husband Frank, and was known for her quick wit and great sense of humor.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are daughter, Jolene, with who she resided, son Michael and wife Arlene, grandson Joseph Maros and wife Alicia, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pisarcik and Dora Pisarcik, nieces , nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her husband Joan was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Michael Joseph Maros, brothers Anthony E. "Tonchy" Pisarcik and Gerald "Jerry" Pisarcik.

Per Joan's wishes a private viewing will take place Friends and family are asked to join us for mass at Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca St,Throop, Thursday 9:30 A.M.
