Helen Margaret Hanuscik, 90, of Throop, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday.  She was the widow of John Hanuscik.  Born in Scranton on February 14, 1933 to the Late Helen Kerdurka and John Lita, she attended Scranton Technical High School but left her junior year to work.  She was a devout Catholic and a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many.  She always had a soft spot for the underdog and everyone in need.  She enjoyed traveling, playing Scrabble and bingo and reading and socializing with her friends over a cup of tea.  She probably single-handedly kept QVC  in business.  She was preceded in death by her husband John, her stepfather Anthony Lipinski, and brothers George and John.  Surviving is a brother William Lita, Cedar Rapids,IA, son John Hanuscik,Throop, Daughter Andrea Davis (Mark), and grandsons Carmen Gabriel and Daniel Davis.
