George Michael Danylak, aged 71, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2025 after a brief illness.

He was born in Scranton on March 15, 1954. He resided in Jessup for nearly 50 years, and graduated from Mid-Valley High School, Olyphant, then attended Johnson School of Technology.

He was employed for many years as a machinist, first at Acker Drill and then at Techniglass Corp., after that he embarked on a new career as a CNA at Lackawanna County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

George was a member of the Mid-Valley Pool League,and was a lifelong Yankees fan.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol Giambrone Danylak, daughter Jennifer Krafchick and companion Jarrod Pence of Utah and son Michael and wife Maria of Montdale, a brother Leo Danylak, Blakely and grandsons, Michael, Joseph, Matthew Danylak and Dylan Major.  He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Christine Farnetti Danylak and a daughter Amanda Danylak.

Visitation will be Sunday November 16, 2025 from 3 to 6 P.M. at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc.,445 Sanderson St. Throop.

Parastas service will be held at 5:30 P.M.

Mass will be celebrated Monday November 17, 2025 at St. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, 135 N. River Street,Olyphant at 10:00 A.M. with interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Jessup.
