Evelyn (Marushock) Foster, 92 passed away peacefully on Thursday night January 23, 2025 at Ellen Memorial.  Born in Scranton.PA , she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Smakula Marushock of Throop.  She was a graduate of Throop High School and longtime waitress at Newton Country Club.

She was a loving sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She had a long fulfilling life and especially loved being with her friends and family watching the New York Yankees, listening to country music and playing cards.

Evelyn and her husband Robert D. Foster met at the "Throop College of Beer Knowledge" and have been married 69 years. She taught her husband to play the drums and together they played in multiple country bands.

She leaves behind her daughter; Sandra and fiance' Anthony Luberto, two sons Robert and Ronald and daughter in law Sherry, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as sister Ilona Westington, sister-in-laws Connie Marushock, Beverely Foster and Joanne Kiesel and her husband James Kiesel.

She was reunited in heaven by her in-laws Robert and Margaret Foster, brothers; George and John Marushock, sisters Lucille Marushock, Mildred Nagy and sister-in-law Barbara Foster and brother in-laws Thomas Foster, Robert Westington and Julius Nagy.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday February 6th from 10 A.M To 12 P.M. with a blessing service at 11:30 A.M.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's name to Personal Home Healthcare and Hospice, 233 Main St, Blakely PA  or St.Jude's Children's Research
