Edward Sheridan, 87 of Olyphant passed away June 8, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at Mid Valley Health Care following an illness.  He was born December 5, 1938 in Peckville, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of the late Chalres and Elizabeth Heffron Sheridan.

Edward was a graduate of Olyphant High School and continued his education earning a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Scranton.  He was employed most of his life in the Broadway Theater District of New Yor City by the Shubert Organization.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by younger brothers Frank Sheridan and Joseph Sheridan, a brother in-law, William Hazelton, and a sister-in-law Deborah Kohut Sheridan.  He is survived by sisters Barbara Sheridan Jardine, and husband Samuel (Chuck) of Olyphant, and Deborah Sheridan Hazelton of Olyphant, brothers Robert Sheridan of Olyphant and Charles (Bucky) Sheridan of Tunkhannock and sister-in-law, JoAnn Lavelle Sheridan of Olyphant.  He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family wished to extend its hearfelt gratitude to Mid Valley Health Care and Home Health Care Hospice for their care and support.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St.Carlos Acutis Parish, at St. Patrick's Church, 200 Delaware Ave Olyphant, PA on Monday June 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call 9:00 am prior to mass.
