It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward "Eddie" Pencek, who left this world peacefully on April 15 at the age of 73, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on June 21, 1952, in Scranton, Eddie was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Remetta) Pencek.  He was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and continued his education at Johnson Technical Institute (now Johnson College). Prior to his retirement, he was employed at General Dynamics.

Eddie was known for his sharp mind and skilled hands.  He had a natural talent for working with computers and could fix about annything--often becoming the go-to-person for family and friends in need of help.  Whether troubleshooting or building something from scratch, he took pride in his work and was willing to lend a hand.

A man of simple pleasures, Eddie enjoyed watching  NASCAR and cheering on his favorite teams, the Buffalo Bills and Penn State.  He found joy in the little things and valued time spent with those he loved.

He is survived by his sister Mary Ann Casarella (Joe); his niece, Kristine Kozlevcar (Dane), and nephew, Michael Casarella (Darcy); as well as one great -niece and several great-nephews.

Family and friends may attend a celebration of life on Friday May, 1, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc., 445 Sanderson St., Throop, PA 18512.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Eddie will be sadly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
