Douglas Paul Krizovich, 45, of Throop, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with numerous medical conditions. His strength, resilience, and determination throughout his journey inspired all who knew and loved him.  Born in Scranton, he was the son of Paul Krizovich of Blakely and Lynne Thompson of Dickson City.

Douglas graduated from Valley View High School and attended Marywood University. He loved his family, and when he wasn't spending time with them, he enjoyed the company of his diverse group of friends. Douglas was known for his sarcasm and his ability to make those around him laugh. Doug was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the love he shared with those around him. Most of all, Doug will be remembered for his quirky sense of humor. Even through life's greatest challenges, he continued to demonstrate courage and perseverance. Doug was never one to shy away from conversation. If you needed a shoulder to lean on, his was always there. In Doug's passing, we hope that, rather than focusing solely on the overwhelming sadness, you will remember one of the countless conversations you shared with him, smile at the memories you made together, and cherish the opportunity to have known the remarkable person Doug truly was..

He leaves behind his Loving father Paul and stepmother, Darlene Krizovich of Blakely; his mother Lynne Thompson, Dickson City and his siblings, Scott Anthony Krizovich of Blakely; Argia Domski and her husband, Eugene, of Blakely; Cara Kapacs of Great Bend; Heidi Cummings and her spouse, Jack, of Archbald; and Scott John Krizovich and his spouse, Nastasha. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Douglas was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Irene Krizovich; his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Thompson; and his treasured aunt, Arlene M. Krizovich.

While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Doug's suffering has ended and that he is finally at peace. His memory will live on through the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the countless memories shared by those who knew him. Although we know the profound impact Douglas's loss will have on so many, in accordance with his wishes, interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by  John F.Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc., 445 Sanderson St., Throop, PA 18512.

A celebration of Doug's life will be held at a later date.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed..
