Dorothy J. Pisarcik, 100, of Throop, passed away on Wednesday January 14, 2026.  She was the widow of Anthony "Tonchy" Pisarcik, who preceded her in death in 2007.  At the time of passing , they had shared 62 years of marriage.

Born in Throop, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Gombar and Anna Janey Gombar.  A graduate of Throop High School, she worked many years in the garment industry and later retired from Pocal Industries.  She proudly served as an Election Day poll worker and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Throop.

Dorothy lived a century marked by love and laughter.  Devoted to her husband and the family they built, she found her greatest joy in their company.  A true people person, she never missed a chance to make a new friend or share a warm conversation.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Siemion, Old Forge; and Susan Pisarcik and husband Charles Bradway, Florida; daughter in law Colleen Pisarcik, Throop; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Edward Pisarcik; son in law Joseph Siemion Sr.; and siblings Andrew Gombar, Francis "Fritz" Gombar, Thomas Gombar, and Gertrude Calichio.

The family extends sincere thanks to the staff of Green Ridge Care Center for their care and kindness.

Dorothy was a parishioner of Saint Carlo Acutis Parish, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday January 22, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 215 Rebecca St. Throop.  Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery , Throop.

Friends and family may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the John F, Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 445 Sanderson St. Throop.
