Diana (Diane) Polovitch, 78, of Throop passed away peacefully at Geisinger CMC of Scranton, surrounded by her loving family on her birthday August 7, 2024.

Diane was born in Scranton, on August 7, 1946, the daughter of Frank and Anna L. Korman.  She was a 1964 graduate of Throop High School.

Diane shared many happy years camping with her young family.  She was a stellar crafter and seamstress in her day, hand making clothes for her family.  She made handmade quilts which she would proudly show off her exceptional stitching ability.  She spent numerous enjoyable years at her home at Lake Quinn, South Cannan Twp.

She leaves behind her husband Michael, whom she has been married to for 58 years, her precious cat Sally, daughters Darlene Thomas (Alan) and Nadine Macri (John), grandchildren Johnny, Grace, Michael, Rebecca and Aubrey, friends and family.  Diane worked at Mid-Valley High School prior to retiring.  Together, her family learned the true meaning of unconditional love and acceptance by offering support through the difficulties of life.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca St., Throop on Saturday August 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.  Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
