Cyril "Bucky" Solomon, 89, of Olyphant,PA, passed away on June 9, 2022 at Regional Hospital after an illness. He was born on May 18,1933 to the late Andrew and Mary Solack Solomon. Until his health started to decline, Bucky cared for multiple horses, which for those who knew him, knew that was his passion in life. He was a commercial truck driver for several trucking firms, as well as owning and operating Bucky's Bar in Olyphant. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and once he got sick, he lived out his remaining years at Gino Merli Veterans Center. He was preceded in death by his wives the late Irene Rusin Acker, Mary Grasso and Carol Pompey. Bucky was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Edward Solomon, and five sisters, Sister Ann Marie Solomon, Catherine O'Shea,Helen Haruch, Mary Michelovitch and Josephine Fadyn Scheponik.
Surviving are his daughter Debbie and her husband Joe Balint of Olyphant,PA, three grandchildren, Joseph Balint of Abingdon,MD, Stephanie Balint,Esq.of Miami Beach,Fl and Amy and her husband Michael Paciotti of Limerick,PA and 4 great -grandchildren,Jack and William Balint, and Christopher and Isabella Paciotti, and several nieces and nephews.
Military services will be held Friday June 24 at St John's Chapel, St Johns Cemetery,Throop at 11:00 A.M.. All are welcome to attend services.
