Obituary

Chester Zelazny, 87, of Throop, Pennsylvania passed away on October 31 st.  Chester was born on March 22,1937, to  Chester and Eleanor Zelazny in Throop, Pennsylvania.  Known by friends and family as Chet, he enlisted in the US Navy at age 17 and served for 4 years.  During his time in the Navy, Chet met and married his wife Barbara.  Chet went on to serve in the US Air Force for 8 years, his time in the Air Force took him to multiple duty stations around the world.

Chet was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years.  He is survived by his two brothers; Frank Zelazny and Anthony Zelazny, 4 children Steven Zelazny, Mike Zelazny, Linda (Zelazny) Martini, and Chet Zelazny, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Chet was a devoted Christian who deeply enjoyed reading and discussing the teachings of the Bible.  He was known for his musical talent and could often be found playing the guitar and singing at family gatherings.  He was a talented amateur golfer, who worked at Elmhurst country club for over 40 years.  Chet was known by all for his level-headed and calm demeanor.  All who knew him had an appreciation for his intellect and knowledge of the world.  He will be deeply missed by many.

His family will be having a ceremony in Oregon due to Chet's wishes to have his ashes placed next to his wife Barbara.
