December 25, 1939 – October 4, 2023
Carole A. Repecki, 83, of Dickson City, passed away at home on Wednesday with her husband Michael S. Repecki by her side. Born in West Scranton to the late Walter and Mary Fedyshyn Blakiewicz, she was a graduate of West Scranton High School, class of 1957.
Carole had a vibrant and engaging personality. She loved to attend all the events her family and friends were involved in and could be heard cheering near and far rooting for them. She loved to play cards and was known to always have a trick up her sleeve. Carole was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed the lunches she shared with her fellow members. Previous public member of Mid-Valley Secondary Center School Board and Authority. Carole was devoted to her family and friends and will always be remembered for her constant support and love. She will be deeply missed by all.
Surviving, along with her husband Michael S. Repecki, is daughter Carolyn; sons, Michael P. (Rebecca) and Mark A. (Jean); grandchildren Kristyn Schultz(Steve), Michael M. (Emily), Lianna (Chris Gould), Molly, Ryan, Matthew, Delanie, Lila; six great-grandchildren; sister Christine Ross, brothers, Bill Blakiewicz (Karen) and Paul Blakiewicz (Rose) and many cousins and dear friends.
Carole was preceded in death by daughter Cheryl Meola, brother Frank Blakiewicz and brother-in-law Joseph Ross.
The funeral will be Wednesday October 11 at 10 A.M. with a mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Dickson City, celebrated by Monsignor Patrick J. Pratico, J.C.D. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday October 10, 5 to 7 P.M. at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Throop. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
