Obituary

Carl Joseph Martini, 70, of Olyphant, died unexpectedly on Saturday April 27 surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 28, 1954, in Peckville, he was the son of the late Carlo and Elizabeth (Brenzel) Martini.  Carl was a graduate of Valley View Class of 1972.  He worked at Azek as a machine operator before retiring.

Carl was a dedicated husband , father, grandfather.

He devoted his life to his family.  Carl worked hard to provide for his wife and children making sure they never had to do without.  He loved helping coach whatever sport his son was playing.  He was a master of school projects.  Helping his daughter trace maps and build a birds nest.  In the summer, he always enjoyed watering his garden in the evening while enjoying a Miller High Life.  Carl was the loudest one at every gathering.  People who did not know him thought he was yelling, but those who did knew he just talked loud.  His grandchildren were the light of his life.  He was so proud of all their achievements.

Carl's wife, Gail was the love of his life.  Married for 47 years, his love for her will go on forever.  They were never far from each other.  Always by each others side through the good and bad.  He always said he could not live without her and now he never will.

He is survived by his wife Gail (Wilkes) Martini; two children, Angela Bilski and Husband John, of Peckville; and C.J. Martini and wife Holly, of Olyphant; three granddaughters, Addison Bilski, Gabriella Martini, Brooke Jacobeno; four grandsons, Nicholas and Rocco Martini and Nikolas and Corey Jacobeno; his brother Tom Martini and wife Eileen; sister Rita Castelli and husband Dominick; sister-in-law Carol (Wilkes) Laskowski and husband Stanley; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart and Dr.Gregory Cali for the excellent care they provided.

To honor Carl's wishes, there will be no funeral service.  We invite you to please privately celebrate his memory in your own ways.
