Barbara Ann Long passed away peacefully Tuesday night at Regional Hospital, Scranton, after an illness.  A lifelong resident of Throop, Barbara was the daughter of Joseph and Ceil Varcella Long.

She was a graduate of Throop High School and was a Legal Assistant for Judge William Nealon.

Barbara is survived by her Brother Edward, cousins James Liesiefsky and wife Rosemarie, all of Throop, Rita Liesiefsky, Grafton, WI, Susan Zarate, Lawrenceville, GA, John Andrelchik, Virginia Beach, VA, Cindy Andrelchik, CA, several nieces and nephews, loving friends and neighbors, Michelle and Tony, and her very special Kitty, Millie.

Barbara was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, Throop, and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Crochet Club.  Barbara was often the smiling face selling Raffle and Bingo tickets for parish fundraisers, and many babies are wearing her beautifully crocheted hats and booties.  Barbara loved to travel and recently returned from Tennessee with her "Gal Pals."  Barbara loved all and was loved by all. She will be truly missed.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday December 4 at 9:30 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca St, Throop, celebrated by Rev. Scott P. Sterowski.  Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, Inc. 445 Sanderson St.Throop, Interment Parish Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to Blessed Sacrament Parish.

The Altar Rosary Society will recite rosary at 3 p.m. Sunday.
