Arnold J. Schiavi III, passed away on February 22, 2022 while on vacation in Florida.
He was born in Scranton on February 12, 1968, he lived with his parents Arnold and AnnMarie.
Arnie was a graduate of Bishop Hannon High School and attended Lackawanna Jr College.
He enjoyed his new job as a sales representative for Leaf Filter of North Pennsylvania. He also worked for many years at Tom Hesser Dealership in Scranton and Dunmore.
He was a great fan of baseball and loved going to Yankee Stadium for the games and Spring Training in Florida with family and friends.
He was a fan of the NFL Football and always said he just wanted to see a good game.
He was introduced to golf by his grandfather, Joe Sroka and developed a true passion for the game.
He played tennis and watched many matches on TV. He was also a fan of historical sites and liked Gettysburg and other Revolutionary
and Civil war battle sites. One of his goals was to visit all the National Parks and he explored many on hikes and tours.
He loved live rock concerts and saw many of his favorite bands
Arnie is survived by his parents Arnold II and AnnMarie Sroka Schiavi, his brother Alden and wife Shannon, Allentown,PA
His aunts Joan Schiavi, Clearwater, FL,and Elaine Crambo, Dickson City.
Several cousins, nieces,nephews. He dearly loved his nephews Owen,Charlie,Liam, and Cole like they were his own children.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arnold Sr and Kathryn Schiavi, and Joseph Sr and Pauline Sroka ,Aunts Kathy Sroka,
Mary Lou Sroka Mielechowski, and Lois Schiavi Jenkins, and his Uncle Joseph Sroka, Jr.
Arnie had no children of his own but was godfather to several, his nephew Owen,William Soma Jr.,Madison Twp and Alina Geier ,Germany.
Arnie was loved by many friends, Leo Wyshock who was with him in Florida, Bill Soma and the entire Soma Family also Shelly Richards
and many others to numerous to mention.
