Anthony Sklareski, 90, formerly of Olyphant died Sunday January 28, 2024, at Dunmore Healthcare Center.  He is the the son of the late Joseph and Anna Filmon Sklareski.  Tony was born in Throop and graduated from Throop High School.  He worked at Notarianni Produce as a foreman for 50 years prior to his retirement.  Tony is survived by his wife of 63 years, Loretta Koskowicz Sklareski.  He had 6 children, David Sklareski and wife Patty, Justine Hernandez, Anthony Sklareski Jr. and wife Christine, Donna Iannuzzo and companion Kenny Rembish, Paul Sklareski and wife Wendy, and Chris Sklareski and wife Tracy.  He had 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are a brother John and wife Lee and several nieces and nephews.  Tony was a devoted husband and father, and his family was the cornerstone of his life, especially his grandchildren who he was left with a legacy of love and many cherished memories.

Tony loved golf, Penn State football, the NY Yankees and spending time with his family.  Everyone who knew him loved him.  His service extended his professional life into his country, as he proudly served in the United States Army for 2 years.

He was preceded in death by brothers Edward and Joseph Sklareski and sisters Genevieve Janowicz and Josie Palumbo.

A Funeral mass will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 10 A.M. At Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca St.,Throop, Pa. Friends and family may call from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. at the church.
