Albert Caruso
Jr.
February 15, 1961 – January 31, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Caruso Jr. 62, of Throop. Born on February 15, 1961, he was the son of the late Albert Caruso and the late Geraldine Kuehn Stine. He attended Prescott Elementary School, then moved to Dover Delaware and graduated from Caesar Rodney High School. After graduation, he studied computer science, but then found using his artistic talents was more rewarding. He started working for a contractor where he learned how to hang drywall and spackle. He was very meticulous with his work. After a tragic accident, he then moved back to Dunmore to live with his sister and brother in law. A couple years later he moved to Throop and started his own lawn care and landscaping business. He was so good at it and his customers loved him so his business really grew.
His hobbies were to go to the gym and work out for hours, bike ride, go to the movies and casino. He also loved his rock and roll. He helped his friend Michele Luongo's band set up and break down with her brother Philip Luongo. He also went on Michele's first audition with her,
Al had no children of his own, but loved his three nieces, three great nieces and five great nephews. He loved his cat Patches and his niece's dog Rocky. Rocky was a yellow lab and a big boy. He loved Rocky so much that one time Rocky ran away down the street and Al ran after him without Rocky's leash. When he caught him, he picked him up and carried him home. If that's not love I don't know what is.
Al's sister Sharon had the privilege of helping Al for five years with his care as he declined from a muscle and bone disease. She stayed right by his side until he passed away.
Throughout his illness, he became very good friends with Millie Incavido and looked to her for great conversation and friendship. She was 97 years old and for each of them their time together was precious.
He is survived by his two siblings Sharon Caruso of Dunmore and Frank Stine of Dover Delaware, Step-father Eugene Stine, nieces Jolane Sottile, Maria Cielski, Dana Zayac, great nieces Aliyah Sottile, Milana Cielski, Myla Cielski, great nephews Nathan Sottile, Logan Sottile, Noah Sottile, Mason Cielski and Morgan Cielski.
His silly and kind ways and joking around will be missed most.
